Billing and refunds

Effective October 3, 2026

How ChargeRecoveries bills, what you can cancel, and what is refunded. These terms are part of the terms of service. The current prices are on the pricing page; they are not repeated here so that this page can never disagree with the checkout.

1.The plans

Three formulas — Essential, Pro and Pro + AI — each billed either monthly or annually. Every formula is priced per lettable unit, vacant units included: a base covers the first 5 units, and each unit beyond them adds a set amount. Users are unlimited, there is no ceiling on buildings or leases, and there are no onboarding fees. The annual is paid upfront for twelve months and comes to less than twelve monthly payments; it is offered, not required: the monthly plan is a real plan with the same product behind it.

Pro adds to Essential the features the pricing page lists; Pro + AI adds an AI assistant that is coming — it is not built yet, and it is included the day it ships.

2.There is no free trial

A subscription is charged when you start it. There is no free trial, and there is no thirty-day money-back guarantee either.

This is a product used to close a year, and everything it is bought for lands in one sitting: the ledger goes in, the reconciliation runs, the year is frozen, and every tenant’s statement is exported. A free week is long enough to take all of that and leave, which is an invitation we would rather not extend to a few at the expense of everybody else.

What you can do before paying is look at the product working on a building that is not yours. What protects you after paying is the cancellation terms below.

3.Cancelling

You can cancel in one click from the plan panel in Settings, at any time, without giving a reason. Cancelling stops the renewals that follow. The period you have paid for — a month or a year — runs to its end: you keep the product for all of it, and nothing you have entered is removed, then or afterwards.

The period you have paid for is not refunded, in whole or in part. Refunding the unused part of a period whose work is already done would be the same invitation as a free trial, arriving later.

The exception is our own mistake: a charge taken twice, or taken after you canceled, is returned in full. Write to us and we will fix it.

4.Changing plan, and the number of units

Upgrading takes effect at once and the difference for the rest of the period is charged pro rata. Downgrading takes effect at the next renewal. A downgrade never removes anything already entered: what a higher formula set up stays readable, and only adding more of it stops.

The number of units billed follows your account. When a unit is added or removed, the subscription follows it, and the payment provider prorates the difference for the rest of the period, in either direction.

5.Who charges you, and what it says on your statement

Payment is taken by Stripe (trading as Link), our merchant of record, which issues your invoice and collects and remits any applicable sales tax or VAT; the checkout shows the total in your own currency before you confirm. On your card statement the charge appears as LINK.COM* CHARGERECOVERIES. Please check for that line before disputing a charge with your bank — a chargeback on a payment you did make costs everybody more than an email would.

6.Failed payments

If a payment fails, the payment provider retries it over the following days and you are told by email. During that time the service stays open. If the payment cannot be collected, the subscription ends: nothing you entered is deleted, and it is all there again the moment a plan is restarted.

7.Price changes

If a price changes, it changes for new subscriptions and at your next renewal, and we will tell you by email at least thirty days before a renewal at a new price.
